The St. Albans Fall Y’all Chili Cook-Off brings chili tastings, local food, arts and crafts vendors, and live entertainment to downtown St. Albans for a family-friendly community celebration.
No rules, no limits. Enter your best chili, any style you like, and compete for cash prizes and People’s Choice.
This cook-off is not sanctioned, and that is the point. Any style of chili is welcome, red or white, mild or hot, meat or vegetarian. No required recipe, no qualifying rounds.
Anyone can enter. First responders, businesses, organizations, and individuals all cook on the same street for the same prizes.
Cook on-site or bring it pre-cooked. Bring five gallons for sampling. Sampling cups will be provided.
Gates open at noon and music runs until six on Olde Main Plaza. Four sets, starting with the opening ceremony. Chili tasting details and the full vendor map will be added closer to the event.
Academic recognition for area middle school students.
Fall Y’all welcomes food vendors and arts and crafts vendors. Applications are open and handled through an off-site form.
